Beach nourishment, also referred to as beach replenishment or beach filling, is the practice of adding sand or sediment to beaches to combat erosion and increase beach width. Often referred to as a “soft armoring” technique.

With sea level rise and storms threatening to erode sandy beaches, it is likely that nourishment will become more prevalent as managers seek to protect valuable coastal property.

At PDCQATAR Marine, we supply the Government Washed Sand Sediment which is the most suitable sand for beaches in absence of available Sea Sand Supply.

We recommend to perform several small nourishment projects rather than a single large project  to allow some beach organism to survive.

If you are suffering from shallow depth at your beach which it does not allows you to swim or use your watercrafts such as boats and jet-skis. Your only solution is dredge your beach to make it useful. 

Dredging often is focused on maintaining or increasing the depth to ensure the safe passage of watercrafts.

Dredging is also performed to reduce the seabed mud due to accumulation of  insoluble particles.

The tetrapod is a tetrahedral concrete structure used as armor unit on breakwaters.

A tetrapod’s shape is designed to dissipate the force of incoming waves by allowing water to flow around rather than against it, and to reduce displacement by allowing a random distribution of tetrapods to interlock.
